Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Rehabilitation
Starr Regional Medical Center is proud to offer a Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Rehabilitation program in conjunction with its Cardiac Rehabilitation program.
The PAD Rehabilitation program is designed to help patients relieve symptoms of PAD, reduce further cardiovascular risk, and improve their ability to walk and complete normal daily activities without pain.
Supervised exercise therapy is an effective way to alleviate leg pain, the most common symptom associated with PAD. It has proven to be more effective than unsupervised exercise, and could prevent the progression of PAD and lower the risk of cardiovascular events.
If you have been diagnosed with PAD, speak with your provider to find out if a referral to the PAD Rehabilitation program is right for you. For additional information about the program, please call 423.744.3321.
