Starr Regional Medical Center welcomes Thomas Henry, FNP-BC

Starr Regional Medical Center today announced that Thomas Henry, FNP-BC, has joined its staff and will be offering cardiovascular services to patients in McMinn County and the surrounding region.
“We are pleased to welcome Thomas to Athens to practice at Starr Cardiology Associates,” said John McLain, chief executive officer of Starr Regional Medical Center. “His education, training and experience in management of chronic and emergent cardiac conditions have given him the expertise needed in treating a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. This is important as Starr Regional Medical Center works to expand the services our community needs most.”
Henry is a s a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with more than 30 years’ experience in the nursing field. He earned a Master of Science in Nursing - Family Nurse Practitioner from Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tenn., in 2020, where he was the recipient of the annual Clinical Excellence Award. He joins the hospital’s medical staff following a position in Knoxville, Tenn., where he covered Cardiology night call for multiple facilities and catheterization teams. He also cared for patients in the Emergency Department of regional facilities.
In his free time, Henry enjoys participating in various outdoor activities, including mountaineering and hunting, especially in cold weather. He is an avid bow hunter, hiker, fisherman, backpacker, boater and camper. His wife, Emily, and their daughters often join him on adventures into the outdoors.
