Starr Regional Medical Center hosts U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann for hospital tour

U.S. Rep. Chuck Fleischmann (R-TN) visited Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens, Tenn., Monday, August 26, 2024. During his visit, Fleischmann met with hospital leaders and toured the facility.
“I was honored to be invited to visit Starr Regional Medical Center and meet with the dedicated staff who are providing excellent health care services to Athens, Etowah, and McMinn County. Robust, high-quality rural health care is critical for countless East Tennesseans, and I am proud to use my senior position on the Health and Human Services subcommittee of Appropriations to strongly champion rural health care providers and ensure every Tennessean can access quality health care no matter where they live. I thank Starr Regional Medical Center for their great work caring for our community,” said U.S. Representative Chuck Fleischmann.

Fleischmann taking the time to visit our hospital and learn about the great work we do every day,” said John McLain, Chief Executive Officer of Starr Regional Medical Center. “He has been a champion for rural healthcare in the United States House of Representatives.
